Bajaj Kratos VS400 is the re-named Bajaj Pulsar VS400; Launch in November

While the Pulsar range has been the hot favorite amongst affordable performance bike buyers, Bajaj think its only apt to doesn’t sell its upcoming 400cc under the Pulsar moniker. Hence, the long awaited Bajaj Pulsar VS400 (aka CS400) will be now known as the Bajaj Kratos VS400. The Kratos VS400 will share in plenty with the Duke 390. However, it remains largely true to the Pulsar CS400 concept we saw at the 2014 Expo. The erstwhile 200NS is the first Pulsar to borrow from its Duke cousin. This time around, Bajaj has decided to come up with a higher displacement product based on the KTM 390 Duke. Powering the Bajaj Kratos VS400 is a re-tuned version of the Duke’s 373.2cc engine. The Bajaj Kratos VS400 launch will happen in November. Read on for Bajaj Kratos VS400 Price, Top Speed, Mileage, Specifications and Features.bajaj kratos vs400 side image

We have already posted many videos and spy images of the VS400. However, the latest image (above) has to be the clearest picture of the upcoming bike. The Bajaj Kratos VS400 launch is likely to be followed by the launch of RS400.

However, BAL decided to push if to November to concentrate on higher sales during festive seasons. Bookings for the Kratos VS400 are likely to begin in October. The Kratos VS400 borrows in plenty from the Duke 390. Powering the VS400 is the same 373cc engine, albeit in a different state of tune. We believe that the Kratos VS400 will have a top speed of roughly 155 KMPH. The new Kratos VS400 is the second Bajaj bike to launch this year. BAL launched the Bajaj V150 commuter earlier this year.bajaj kratos vs400 launch date

The Kratos VS400 will be the highest priced Bajaj product on sale. The bike will share its engine and many cycle parts with the KTM Duke 390. Performance is likely to be at part with most of the rivals. Another highlight of the VS400 is its world class design. The Kratos looks like a slightly toned down Ducati Diavel, no? The Bajaj Kratos VS400 launch should mark a really important event.

Bajaj Kratos VS400 Review Walk-around Video

Bajaj Kratos VS400 Design Review

The Bajaj Kratos VS400 looks almost same as the CS400. The world-class design continues to impress. Designers of the Kratos VS400 seem to have looked at the Ducati Diavel for inspiration. The Kratos VS400 is likely to excite many. The Bajaj Kratos VS400 also looks like an elder sibling of the 200NS. The front fascia gets an aggressive look and the LED headlamp impress. The Kratos VS400, however, misses out on the upside down forks featured on the CS400. The VS400 also makes do without clip-on handlebars. However, this enhances its street fighter image. The Kratos VS400 boasts a fully digital speedo cluster. It displays speedometer, tachometer, odometer, fuel level and gear shift indicator. It also shows tell tale signs for air filter replacement and other such things.

The Kratos VS400 comes with a split-seat setup. The CS400 had a single seat. Other features of this bike’s design are- muscular tank, aggressive headlamp, sporty tail section and LED taillamps. The VS400 won’t have any garish body graphics. We feel that the Bajaj Kratos VS400 launch will lead to advent of mean-looking, powerful Indian sports cruiser.

Bajaj Kratos VS400 Colours

The Kratos VS400 will go on sale in- Red, Black, Yellow, Blue, Silver colours.

Bajaj Kratos VS400 Engine and Transmission

Powering the new Bajaj Kratos VS400 is a 373cc single cylinder engine. This engine comes from the KTM Duke 390. Power output is around 35 PS and peak torque roughly 33 Nm. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Kratos VS400 boasts disc brakes on both ends. We also like those stylish 17 inch alloy wheels.
