Seen here are new rendering images from MotoBlast. These new renderings of R15 Version 3.0 are based on the spy images of the upcoming bike. As depicted in these speculative images, the Yamaha R15 V3.0 will get new design body panels along with LED headlamps. The bike will also get a digital speedo console that will have a blue backlight. The bike could also come with upside down front forks. In all probability, the bike will share some panels with the M-Slaz. The new 2017 R15 Version 3.0 will also get new colour options.

The new 2017 Yamaha R15 V3.0 launch date could fall in mid-2017. Our guess is that the Version 3.0 launch could happen around July, 2017. We await official confirmation of the launch date frmo the manufacturer.

The new 2017 Yamaha R15 V3.0 could cost around Rs. 1.30 Lakhs. The bike should be priced in the Rs. 1.30-1.40 Lakhs range (ex-showroom). Currently, the R15 V2.0 model has a sticker price of roughly Rs. 1.20 lakhs. However, new bits like LED headlamps and USD Forks should bump up the price.

Powering the new 2017 R15 Version 3.0 will be the same 149cc, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine that powers the V2.0. We expect Yamaha to re-tune this engine for more power and higher fuel mileage. Our guess is that the V3.0 will have a peak power of 17 BHP. Currently, this engine outputs 16.7bhp at 8,500 rpm. The engine will come mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

New Yamaha R15 Version 3.0 Design
The new Yamaha R15 V3.0 will look sportier than V2.0. Thanks to many new body panels and bits like USD forks, the Version 3.0 will look bigger. Some of the panels could come from the M-Slaz streetnaked. Also, new colour options and sporty decals should make the bike more attractive. The ‘pièce de résistance’ will be LED headlamps. Once aboard, you’ll be quick to appreciate the new digital speedo console. Also, the bike could have a more comfortable seating position for both the rider and the pillion. It’s worth a mention that the V2.0 has faced a lot of flak for an uncomfortable pillion seat. Some design inspiration could also come from the YZF R125 and YZF R6.
