The Amaze has already received a facelift. The City, too is about to get a facelift. Recently, Honda also launched the Brio facelift in India. The next new Honda coming our way is the Accord. However, of all these, the most important could be the WRV. The WRV will be priced very close to the BRV. However, it will be more crossover-ish. On being compared to the Jazz, it will look more rugged and will have higher ground clearance.

Honda WRV (Jazz SUV) Exterior

The WRV will share in plenty with the Jazz. However, it will look more rugged and aggressive than the hatchback sibling. The WRV will boast a new front grille, new headlamps, updated bumper and a scuff plate at front. Its side profile will be characterized by the stylish alloy wheels, roof rails and body cladding. The rear gets a new bumper with a faux scuff plate and new tail lights.honda wrv images rear-angle-images

The WRV’s head lights seem to take inspiration from those on the HRV. The car’s nose looks aggressive and gives it a rugged look. The new grille and updated bumper come together to make the car look really butch. The side profile gives a good view of the car’s high ground clearance. The new alloys and body cladding further accentuate the crossover credentials. The rear gets the least changes. All it gets is a new bumper with a faux skid plate and a set of revised tail lights.

Honda WRV Interior

While we are yet to see the interior, it’s likely to be almost the same as the Jazz. This means it will have a typical Honda dashboard with clean surfaces and plenty of cubby holes. Also, the WRV could get some chrome trim and optional leather upholstery. The WRV Jazz-based SUV will have a spacious cabin. The 2.6-metre wheelbase will help here. Also, a lot of headroom should give a feeling of spaciousness.

Honda WRV (Jazz SUV) Engine & Transmission

The Honda Fit Twist (WRV) will be sold with a 1.5-litre i-VTEC FlexOne engine in Brazil. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and a CVT. This engine will be carried over from the hatchback sibling. Power figures will remain the same. Hence, the Jazz SUV will have a max power-torque of 118 PS and 150 Nm. For India, the WRV will get a 1.2 L Petrol engine from the Jazz. This engine develops 90 PS and 109 Nm. The Diesel model will get the 1.5 L iDTEC Diesel with 100 PS and 200 Nm. Both the engines will come mated to a 5 Speed Manual Transmission. Additionally, the Petrol model will also have a CVT.
