2017 Mercedes E Class India Design Review
The new 2017 E-Class follows the same design language as the current S-Class and C-Class sedans. It features the current Mercedes family look complete with the slightly protruding front grille. The headlamps and tail lamps are full LED units. In a first for the Indian market, we get the long wheelbase version of the E-Class. The design is largely the same as the short wheelbase model. the only visible difference in design is between the B-pillar and the tail. In the case of the E-Class L, the window area extends behind the door. Thanks to the increased length, the rear door is different in profile as it doesn’t curve around the rear wheel arch as much.
Much of the interiors remain the same, except for the obvious increase in legroom. Like the exteriors, the dashboard design borrows quite heavily from the S Class. You get a fully digital instrument cluster along with a touchscreen system for the COMAND interface. As expected, the cabin is loaded with tech and features. The rear seat of the E-Class L is ideal for those who prefer being chauffeur driven.
