Piaggio India has come up with the new 2017 model year of the Aprillia SR 150. Touted as India’s first “sport-scooterbike”, the SR 150 was put on display at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo in early February. This scooterbike has been designed and developed in Italy. The Italian Marquee also plans to launch more scooters under the SR moniker, and the next model is expected to be launched towards the end of this year or early 2018. Powering the moto scooter is a 150cc engine that generates power worth 11.4bhp against 11.5Nm of torque.

The SR 150 shares its engine with the Vespa 150. Hence, powering the 2017 Aprilia 150 is the same 3-Valve, 150cc Single Cylinder engine that comes mated to a CVT automatic gearbox. This engine benefits from MAP Sensing and Variable Spark Timing Management. The engine delivers a max. power of 11.6 PS and a peak torque of 11.5 Nm.
