Mercedes has revealed a teaser image of its Geneva Motor Show concept car, with the design drawing showing a new four-door coupe that’s likely to be part of the Mercedes-AMG GT family when it makes production.
Although the car is only going to appear in concept form at Geneva, the teaser shot reveals that it will be called the ‘GT Concept’, as seen on the rear number plate. The fact it has space for a plate shows how close it could be to production.
There are no details on the car yet, but it's likely to feature AMG’s storming 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that appears in the current AMG GT two-door.
The concept appears to feature a centrally-mounted exhaust flanked by a huge rear diffuser, while the door handles look like Tesla-style pop out items. Huge two-tone wheels and that striking red paint are the other design highlights.
For now that’s all we know about this striking new concept car, but we’ll have more details when we see the car live on motor show stands next week at the Geneva event - so check back on Tuesday morning for more.
