Tata Nexon vs Honda WRV – Exterior Design Comparison

The Nexon sports a cohesive design. This car does not pretend to be an SUV. A clear sign of this is the rounded wheel arches which add muscle to this car as well. The front end looks quite nice as elements such as the grille and headlamps look like one complete styling element. On the side, the car’s coupe-like roofline gives this car an athletic stance. The rear of the car features a chrome strip running across the width of the car. This chrome strip outlines the taillamps too. Rest, the rear looks clean and hence, quite nice. The Nexon’s jacked-up stance gives it the look and feel of a crossover. Overall, we can say that this is a nice design indeed.

The WRV is based on the same platform as the Jazz. It is made pretty evident by the character line on the side that runs across the length of the car. The front end looks inoffensive and is dominated by that big chrome strip on the grille. This chrome strip ends in headlights on either end. Giving away this car’s crossover nature is the body cladding all around the car and the faux skid plate up front. The rear has C-shaped taillights and chrome applique on number plate housing. If it is a quirky-looking car you want, the WRV gets it right to a large extent.

Tata Nexon vs Honda WRV – Interior Design Comparison

The Nexon’s interior is a spacious-feeling place. The black-grey dual-tone colour scheme is responsible for this. The brushed aluminium inserts on the dashboard, steering wheel and doors trims looks expensive. The centre console is clutter free and has just one floating infotainment screen. A few buttons and dials are all that you can see on the centre console. All this adds to the sense of spaciousness to the cabin. A job well done by Tata.

Tata Nexon vs Honda WRV - Tata Nexon Interior

The WRV’s interior looks quite similar to that of Jazz. That’s no surprise as it is based on Jazz’s platform. The dual-tone black-grey colour scheme gives the interior a nice feeling. There are brushed aluminium inserts on the dashboard, steering wheel and door trims of the WRV. The centre console is dominated by two screens. One of them is the touchscreen infotainment unit. The other is for HVAC display and both screens have touchscreen controls. However, the WRV’s interior does not feel premium enough. A part of the problem is that we have seen parts of this interior in various Honda cars. If you like the interior of Honda’s cars, you will like the WRV’s interior too.

Tata Nexon vs Honda WRV – Conclusion

Price – The Nexon is the clear winner here.

Specifications – The Nexon has a competitive lineup of engines. They easily outgun the Honda engines when it comes to torque outputs as even the petrol engine is turbocharged. Also, equipping the car with driving modes has ensured that Nexon can alter its throttle response as per the conditions, leaving the WRV feeling ancient in comparison

Mileage – The WRV’s engines offer better mileage than the Nexon

Dimensions – Both cars are quite evenly matched in this respect. While the WRV falls short in width, the Nexon suffers in the wheelbase department. If you have tall passengers to seat in your car, the WRV is the better choice. If you have generously-proportioned passengers to take care of, the Nexon should be your pick.

Features – Another area where the Nexon emerges as the clear winner.

Design – The Nexon’s design is cohesive and hence, nice to look at, both inside and out. The WRV’s exterior looks quirky. The interior does not feel as special as it should.
