UM Global Motorcycles has launched a new motorcycle in India. This new motorcycle is known as the UM Renegade Classic and becomes the new flagship model in the bike manufacturer’s product portfolio. The UM Renegade Classic price in India has been kept at Rs 1.89 lakh. It boasts the same 279.5cc engine that also powers the Renegade Commando. Thanks to the same engine, most technical specifications and mileage are also largely the same. The Renegade Classic will, in all probability, help UM Global set a stronger foothold in the ever growing Indian bike market.

It may be noted that UM Global has been rather quick to catch the attention of many cruiser bike lovers across India. The UM Renegade Commando, thanks to its true-blue cruiser styling, seems to have generated enough interest among new bike buyers. With the launch of the Renegade Classic, which looks at least as stylish as the Commando, the manufacturer is likely to enjoy an even wider base of prospective customers.

The new bike has an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.89 lakh, which will makes it more than Rs 19,000 costlier than the Commando. True, the two bikes share the same engine and many other mechanicals, but the Classic tries to justify the price premium by offering decidedly classier cruiser bike styling.

Powering the UM Renegade Classic is the same 279.5cc, single-cylinder engine that powers the Renegade Commando. This engine has a Carburetor setup and comes mated to a slick shifting 6-speed Manual Transmission. The motor outputs a max. power of 24.8 BHP at 8,500 RPM and a peak torque of 23 Nm at 7,000 RPM. The cruiser motorcycle gets telescopic forks up front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking duties are courtesy of a 280 mm disc brake at front and a 130 mm drum unit at the rear.
