Bajaj V10 100cc Motorcycle Coming Next Year

The Bajaj V15 and V12 have tasted enough success in the market. The two motorcycles, which look a lot like each other, have managed to establish themselves pretty well in the ultra-competitive lower segments of the Indian motorcycle market. Now, speculations are rife that Bajaj Auto Ltd is planning to launch another V motorcycle in the coming months. Expected to be christened as the V10, the upcoming motorcycle will have a 100cc heart and will find itself slotted between the CT100 and the V12. The upcoming Bajaj V10 launch date will likely fall in March and the new motorcycle should have an ex-showroom price of around Rs 44,000.

In terms of design, the upcoming Bajaj V10 100cc motorcycle will look a lot like the V12. However, we think it will have slimmer tyres and fewer chrome bits. The motorcycle will, however, have some of its panels made of steel used from the INS Vikrant. The launch of this motorcycle will take place soon after the introduction of the Bajaj Avenger 400 cruiser motorcycle. The V10 will become the only motorcycle of its kind in the entry-level market.

Specifications will be largely similar to those of the CT100 entry-level motorcycle. Powering the upcoming model is likely to be the same 99.3cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This engine is capable of producing a maximum power output of 8.08bhp and a peak torque of 8.05Nm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a 4-speed gearbox.

Bajaj V10 Launch Date

The Pune-based motorcycle manufacturer is yet to make an official announcement regarding the launch date of the upcoming V10. However, speculations are rife that the launch of the next V motorcycle will take place in March next year. We will update you with more concrete details as soon as the company lets out some official information regarding the launch of the V10.

Bajaj V10 Price in India

Drum Brake Rs 44,000
Disc Brake Rs 46,000

Prices of the upcoming new Bajaj V10 motorcycle will likely start at Rs 44,000. The new motorcycle will share many of its mechanical bits with the CT100, which should ensure that prices remain competitive. We are expecting a starting price of Rs 44,000. The disc brake variant, if it is on offer, should cost no more than Rs 46,000.

Bajaj V10 Specifications

Engine 99.3cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled
Maximum Power 8.08 bhp
Peak Torque 8.05 Nm
Gearbox 4-Speed Manual
Brakes 130 mm Drum (front and rear)
Tires Front- 90/90/18; Rear- 100/80/16
Suspension Front- Telescopic Forks, Rear- Twin-Spring Loaded Hydraulic Type
Fuel Tank 13 Litres

The Bajaj V10 motorcycle will share a lot with the CT100. Powering this motorcycle will be the same 99.3cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that powers the entry-level model from BAL. For the CT100, this non-DTSi engine outputs a maximum power of 8.08 bhp and a peak torque of 8.05 Nm. We aren’t too sure but the company might decide to re-tune the motor for the V 10. The engine offers a pretty high mileage and comes mated to four-speed manual transmission.

The V 10 will have conventional telescopic forks up front along with twin-spring twin gas absorbers at the rear. Unlike the V12, the upcoming motorcycle won’t get gas-charged rear shock absorbers. The bike will get 130 mm drum brakes on both its wheels. Bajaj might even offer a pricier variant with a disc brake on the front wheel.

Bajaj V10 Mileage

City 70 KMPL
Mileage 80 KMPL

For the Bajaj CT100, the 99.3cc engine offers an impressively high mileage of up to 89.5 kmpl. The V10 will also offer a similar offer a very high mileage. It will offer a mileage of around 70 kmpl in urban conditions. The motorcycle will offer as much as 80 kmpl when it comes to peak mileage.

Bajaj V12 Features

The Bajaj V10’s features list will include-

  • LED taillight
  • Stylish speedo console
  • Bikini Fairing
  • Trapezoidal headlamp
  • Clear lens indicator
  • Pilot lamps
  • INS Vikrant decal

Bajaj V10 Looks

The V10 is expected to look a lot like the V12. That said, there will be definitely some tell-tale signs to ensure the upcoming 100cc V model looks somewhat less premium. It’s almost for sure that the V 10 would have slimmer tyres, fewer chrome bits and probably a different set of alloy wheels. On the other hand, there will be many bits coming straight off the V12. This means that the upcoming Bajaj bike in India will boast a classic retro look that has worked wonders for the V15 and the V12. The fact that the V10, which will be the cheapest offering in the V range of motorcycles, would look a lot like the V12 should work in favour of the 100cc model.
