COMING SOON – Royal Enfield Himalayan 750

Speculations are rife that Royal Enfield could be working on a new version of its Himalayan adventure tourer. Likely to come with a new 750cc engine, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 could be just months away from its debut. We’ve already seen test mules of upcoming Royal Enfield Interceptor 750 cc and now, it seems like even a Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 model is on the cards. The bike could launch here in mid-2018 and is expected to go on sale for a price of Rs 3.5 Lakh.

Of course, the upcoming RE Himalayan 750 will get a re-worked chassis to accommodate the more powerful engine. All this could lead to a slight change in the dimensions of the motorcycle. Also, the bike will be a bit heavier than the current model. However, design is likely to remain largely the same. Also, the manufacturer is expected to iron out all the niggles with its adventure tourer by then and hence, we’re hoping for a better build quality with the upcoming bike.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 Launch Date

Launch Date (expected) Mid-2018

Obviously, it’s too early to hope for an official launch date. However, it’s very likely that the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 model will launch in mid-2018. Upon its launch, this bike will become the new flagship in RE’s product portfolio. There are enough reasons for us to believe that the launch of the 750cc Himalayan will happen before the introduction of the Continental GT 750.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 Price in India

Minimum Price Rs 3.5 Lakh
Maximum Price Rs 4.0 Lakh

Our guess is that the upcoming RE Himalayan 750 will go on sale in Rs 3.5 lakh to Rs 4 lakh price bracket. In this price range, the new 750cc RE should appeal to all those willing to upgrade from their current REs. Also, it should become a worthy option for those in the market for a low-priced adventure tourer.

Powering the Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 will be a new twin-cylinder engine that will displace close to 750cc. Maximum power should be pegged at around 45 BHP and the peak torque at 62 Nm. Akin to the current 410cc motor, even the upcoming engine should boast Fuel Injection. The engine will have to be Euro-VI ready as it’s destined to launch in many international markets. The engine will come along with a six-speed Manual Transmission. Thanks to a long stroke layout, the engine should be sufficiently torque-y in nature.
