2018 Ford Figo Freestyle – Launch Price
The upcoming 2018 Ford Figo Freestyle is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2018 with the sales starting simultaneously. The introduction of the new model will be the third model to be added to the Figo lineup and will, therefore, offer a more versatile option to buyers.

The upcoming 2018 Ford Figo Freestyle will host the brand new Dragon engine lineup. This will be the first vehicle from Ford to introduce the new engine. The 1.2-litre Normally Aspirated, three-cylinder, the all-aluminium petrol engine will produce a class-leading 95hp of power and 115 Nm of torque. The sad part about the 1.2-litre engine is that unlike the 1.5-litre Dragon engine it shares the block with, it misses out on the balancer shaft to offset vibrations. As a good part, this means producing the engine will be cheaper and so will be the maintenance. The same 1.2-litre Dragon engine will be shared with the Ford Figo and Aspire facelift due for launch late 2018.
The engine will come mated to a brand new MX-65 5-speed gearbox from Getrag. The new gearbox replaces the old IB5 unit and the new unit is more accurate while requiring less effort to operate. An AMT version of the MX-65 is expected to roll in at a later stage.
The mechanical changes include a jacked-up suspension that increases the ground clearance allowing the Figo Freestyle to venture onto trails the Figo wasn’t fit to cater to.
2018 Ford Figo Freestyle – Design
The upcoming 2018 Ford Figo Freestyle employs similar design philosophy as the Hyundai i20 Active, Toyota Etios Cross and Volkswagen’s CrossPolo. The upcoming crossover from Ford features new design elements like all-around plastic cladding with flared wheel arches, front and rear bumper sill protectors. In addition to that, the Figo Freestyle will feature larger wheels than the outgoing model and additional visual as well as practical traits like the roof rails. The Aston Martin type hexagonal grille remains intact albeit design changes.

2018 Ford Figo Freestyle – Features
The upcoming 2018 Ford Figo Freestyle will feature the brand new SYNC 3 infotainment system in the range topping model. The infotainment features boast of new features like capacitive touchscreen, digital controls for climate control and enhanced voice recognition. The 2018 Figo Freestyle will inherit several features from the current Figo like steering mounted controls, automatic climate control etc.
2018 Ford Figo Freestyle – Safety Features
The 2018 Ford Figo Freestyle will offer an array of safety features like six-airbags, ABS(Anit-Lock braking system) with EBD (Electronic Brake-Force Distribution), keyless entry-exit and push-button start and anti-theft alarm. These features help keep the passengers away from harm’s way both actively and passively while protecting your precious vehicle from thieves.
