While the Datsun Go and the Datsun Go+ aren’t available with a CVT option at the moment, the soon-to-launch 2018 Datsun Cross will offer a CVT option. Actually, the company has released a teaser image that clearly hints at this feature of the upcoming crossover. The Cross is basically a production-spec version of the Go Cross prototype that was put on a show at the Auto Expo 2016. Now, it looks like the production-ready version will make its India debut at the Auto Expo 2018.
As is the case of all Datsun cars on sale in the country, even the 2018 Cross will be produced in India and Indonesia. The new model’s India launch date will likely fall in mid-2018. The new Datsun Cross shares in plenty with the Go+ MPV and is a 7 seater.
