2018 Hyundai Elite i20 Facelift Spied Undisguised, Launch at Auto Expo 2018

The upcoming 2018 Hyundai Elite i20 facelift is a part of the mid-life refresh that includes minor changes to the exterior and interior.

Hyundai the only automaker in India right now that could not only compete, but holds the potential to dethrone Maruti Suzuki which has been enjoying the top position for a long time now. Hyundai has been selling their cars in India and has been investing consecutively for a long time now. This has led to a situation where Indians relate to the company as being Indian. Come Auto Expo 2018 and Hyundai will unveil the Elite i20 facelift along with a handful of other models. A Facebook fan page going by the name ‘i20 Elite’ encountered some pictures of the upcoming 2018 Hyundai Elite i20 facelift and the spy shots are clear as a day, revealing almost everything about the upcoming hatchback.

2018 Hyundai Elite i20 Facelift Launch Price

The upcoming 2018 Hyundai Elite i20 facelift will be showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. We will bring you live reports right from the event. Since the launching model features minor changes, the price will either stay identical to the current offering or could change every so slightly.

2018 Hyundai Elite i20 Facelift Changes

The latest set of spy shots of the upcoming 2018 Hyundai Elite i20 facelift reveal almost all details pertaining to the refreshed model. The front gains Hyundai’s ‘Cascading’ grill. Front bumper features refreshed design with new shape fog lamp enclosures. The unit in the spy shots features projector headlamps featuring xenon bulb and LED DRL. The rear features updated bumper design with new black inserts towards to bottom and the number plate has been moved to the hatch. The updated tail lights can be seen partially too.

The interior layout remains mostly unchanged. The aircon vents above the infotainment screen seem to be reprofiled slightly along with the Harazd Light button and the central locking button. The aircon vents now look even more premium with faux-aluminium surrounds. The buttons for commanding the infotainment system have been re-shuffled too.

2018 Hyundai Elite i20 Facelift Specifications

While most of the engine options on the upcoming 2018 Hyundai Elite i20 facelift remain unaltered, the new 1.2-litre Kappa petrol mated to a CVT is reported to be replacing the 1.4-litre Gamma petrol engine with 4-speed automatic transmission combo. The upcoming 2018 Hyundai Elite i20 facelift will compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift (2018 model coming soon), Tata Tiago, upcoming premium hatchback from Tata and others in the segment.
