Mercedes will be using next month's Geneva Motor Show to display an updated version of the ultimate luxury S-Class. The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class gains a host of styling revisions and new trim options for 2018.
After reviving the Maybach nameplate in 2014 as a high-end sub-brand with the posher limousine, Mercedes has since shown-off the 740bhp, six metre long Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 concept coupe. And it's that car that inspires the visual updates to the S-Class, with a new vertically strutted radiator grille meant to look like a pinstriped suit.

Further external changes include the option of two-tone paintwork, with nine different colour combinations and a double clear coat finish for extra shine. A new 20-inch multi-spoke wheel design also features.
The interior updates are limited to the addition of two new trim colour combinations: armagnac brown and black or savanna beige and black. Contrasting leather stitching in copper, gold or platinum colours can be specified.
While a 4.0-litre turbocharged V8 is available on the continent, the UK-bound Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is solely offered with a 621bhp 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12. With 1,000Nm of torque it means the 5.5m long saloon is capable of 0-62mph in 4.7 seconds, while managing 22.2mpg combined. Customer deliveries are expected in August.
