Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has silently launched the 2018 CB Hornet 160R in India. The latest iteration of this bike made its first public debut at the Auto Expo this year. The 2018 CB Hornet 160R is available in a total of 4 variants. With this update, the motorcycle offers a new design, several feature upgrade, while the engine specifications continue to remain the same.

As mentioned before, the 2018 CB Hornet 160R is available in a total of 4 variants. The base variant retails at INR 84,675. While the top-spec version is going to cost INR 92,675. These prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. Detailed, variant wise prices are stated below:

2018 Honda CB Hornet 160R Engine Specifications
The latest iteration of the Cb Hornet comes with the same engine specifications as before. As a result, it gets the 162.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This motor produces 14.9 BHP of power along with 14.5 Nm of peak torque. The bike gets a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard across the variant range. The 2018 Hornet now comes with ABS which is available as an optional extra. This has made this bike the first in the segment to offer this feature. This system is a single-channel unit.

2018 Honda CB Hornet 160R Brakes And Suspension
The latest iteration of the CB hornet comes with both front and rear disk brakes. However, this is not a standard feature and is available only on top-spec versions. The base variants come with front disk brakes only. While the rear has to do with drum brakes. The bike comes with telescopic front forks and monoshock set-up at the rear.

2018 Honda CB Hornet 160R Features
The exterior styling of the new Hornet is quite similar to the model that it will replace. That said, the bike comes with new graphics and a set of new colour options. Furthermore, with this update, the CB Hornet gets full LED headlamps. Also, despite the bike having the same instrument cluster, it gets new housing and blue backlit instead of Amber. That said, it does not get the gear position indicator.

The 2018 CB Hornet will compete against the likes of Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha FZ-S FI, Bajaj Pulsar 160 NS and the new TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.

Furthermore, the bookings for the new Hornet are set to commence in the month of April 2018. Dealership as yet to get the updated models. Expect the deliveries to commence soon afterwards.
