Not content with having two supercars with over 1,000bhp, Danish manufacturer Zenvo revealed the TSR-S at the Geneva Motor Show. This third model slots in between the TS1 road car and TSR track machine, and it adds active aerodynamics to boost the car's performance even further.
As the name suggests, the TSR-S is based on the track-focused TSR, and it features what Zenvo calls a Centripetal Wing. This unique wing is designed in part to perform as an air brake when slowing down, but its big party trick is that it can tilt from side to side to help improve cornering grip. When turning into a corner, hydraulic rams adjust the angle of the wing to optimise downforce over the car, giving the rear end more grip and a higher cornering speed. This adjustment also means the wing acts like an anti-roll bar, boosting the car's handling in the process.
But there's more to the Zenvo TSR-S than just a fancy wing. The company has also boosted power for the twin-supercharged (hence the TS- name) 5.8-litre V8 to a massive 1,177bhp. This can be dialled back to 'just' 700bhp by the driver, while the seven-speed sequential shift gearbox has road and race modes that deliver smooth or savage shifts, depending on which one you choose. Go for maximum power, and the TSR-S can go from 0-62mph in 2.8 seconds, while 0-124 mph takes 6.8 seconds. Top speed is limited to 202mph.
The carbon fibre bodywork has been updated to reflect the track-based roots of the TSR-S. There's a new front splitter and revised headlights, while at the back there are single tail-light units, extra air vents and just one number plate light to help save weight.
The bespoke nature of Zenvo's cars means only five are built each year, and the TSR-S is sure to be a rare sight on the road.
