The engine specifications of the 2018 Maruti Wagon R will remain the same as before. The hatchback will get a 1.0-litre K-Series, 3-cylinder petrol engine. It produces 67 BHP along with 91 Nm of peak torque. The new Wagon R will get a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. Maruti will also provide a 5-speed AMT gearbox as well. Thanks to the lighter HEARTECT platform, expect the fuel efficiency of the Wagon R to improve. The current generation model promises a fuel efficiency figure of 20 km/l.
