Big-selling Nissan Juke has been tweaked for 2018, with new styling, personalisation and technology options

Nissan Juke updated - front

Nissan looks to be extending the life of its big-selling Juke crossover, by implementing a series of MY18 updates – before the car is replaced later this year.

While subtle, the changes include a new dark chrome V-motion grille, darkened headlamps and new alloy wheels designs. LED fog lights are now standard on Acenta grade and above, while new coloured trim for the bumpers, door sills, mirror caps and wheels are available through Nissan’s personalisation programme.

The high-grade N-Connecta trim has been replaced by the Bose Personal Edition, first seen on the latest Micra supermini. This adds two Bose UltraNearfield speakers to the driver’s head rest – for an “immersive 360-degree listening experience”. This spec also includes keyless go, part-leather seats and NissanConnect with a colour reversing camera.

Elsewhere, Nissan has added two new colours to the Juke range. Vivid Blue and Chestnut Bronze join the range of paint options already available. Inside, buyers now get a choice of Energy Orange or Power Blue, applicable to everything from the air vents, to the door inserts and seat upholstery. Interior personalisation is standard on all Bose Personal Edition and Tekna models.

Ken Ramirez, Nissna’s European SVP for sales and marketing said: “These new features further extend customer choice, enhancing the distinctive design for which Juke is best known”.

With the removal of Juke N-Connecta, the small SUV is now available in Visia, Acenta, Bose Personal Edition and Tekna trims. The updated car will go on sale in May, with prices expected to start from around £15,000. The Bose-branded Juke should cost from £18,500 with the 1.2-litre DIG-T turbo petrol engine.

A brand new Nissan Juke is expected later in 2018. Check out the latest details
