Royal Enfield 650 Twins are being rolled out to low-volume markets like Australia to check for response and reliability. The upcoming Interceptor INT 650 and the Continental GT 650 are likely to launch in India in September.

According to a report from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Royal Enfield inaugurated its second direct distribution subsidiary outside India, in Brazil. Brazil is the fourth largest two-wheeler market in the world. Such an ambitious company’s latest models have failed considerably though. The Continental GT 535 has been discontinued officially. The Himalayan sales took a huge dip due to questionable reliability. The Bullet and Thunderbird still clocking more units than their younger siblings. Upcoming RE 650 Twin – Launch Date

Royal Enfield has showcased the upcoming 650 Twin at their dealerships across Australia. The dealerships are also quoting a tentative pricing for the two motorcycles. Royal Enfield plans to soft-launch the bikes there to check for customer response and issues if any. The RE 650 Twin India launch will likely take place in September.

Upcoming RE 650 Twin – Launch Price

As we mentioned before, RE’s Australian dealerships are giving out tentative prices. The prices mentioned in the Australian dealerships are AUD 10,000 (INR 5 lakh) for the Interceptor 650. The Continental GT 650 commands a slightly premium pricing at AUD 10,400 (INR 5.24 lakh). Upon launch in India, both the 650 twins price range will start under INR 3 lakh. Several optional accessories will be available for both 650 twins at the time of launch. These new accessories will help you customise your next parallel-twin 650 according to your taste and style.

Upcoming RE 650 Twin – Engine & Mileage

The Upcoming RE 650 Twin will be powered by an all-new, twin-cylinder 648cc SOHC 4-valve unit. The engine makes a healthy 47 PS at 7,100 rpm and 52 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The engine works in tandem with an all-new 6-speed transmission with a slip-assist clutch. It features an oil-cooler, apart from the fins for air cooling and fuel injection. The engine comes with a 270 degree crank with a balancer shaft to smoothen out vibrations. The 650cc engine will deliver around 20-25 kmpl in real-time usage.

Upcoming RE 650 Twin – Cycle Parts

Doing its duty on the Upcoming RE 650 Twin motorcycles are 41mm telescopic shocks at the front and a pair of twin gas-charged shocks at the rear. The bikes use 18-inch spoked wheels with Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp tyres. Stopping power comes from a 320mm front and 240 mm rear disc brake with single-channel ABS active only on the front wheel.
