Ducati launched its flagship bike, Panigale V4 in January 2018 in India. Earlier, only 20 initial units were rolled out. However, within the first week of booking, all the units of Ducati Panigale V4 were sold out. Panigale’s increasing demand led to Ducati reopening the bookings of the bike.
The Italian bike manufacturer launched the flagship track-friendly Ducati Panigale V4 in two variants – V4 and V4S. While V4 was priced at Rs 20.53 Lakh, V4S was priced at Rs 25.29 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The bike which was earlier sold out in January will be available soon and the deliveries will be commencing July 2018. The bookings have started across all Ducati dealerships in the country.
Ducati Panigale V4 was the first Ducati motorcycle to mount a 4-cylinder engine, matching the components of MotoGP Desmosedici. The 1,103 cc engine with Desmodromic timing, produces 214 PS at 13,000 rpm. This makes the Panigale V4 the most powerful bike in the segment. A peak torque of 124 Nm comes in at 10,000 rpm. It’s the closest that you can get to a MotoGP bike.

Panigale V4 comes with a 6-speed gearbox. The 2018 model year offers three modes – Street, Sport, and Race. The bike comes with cool features like Riding Modes, Bosch Cornering ABS EVO, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO; Ducati Slide Control (DSC), and Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO. Panigale V4S also gets Ohlins suspension with the Smart EC 2.0 system with a new adjustment interface and forged aluminium wheels. The higher variant thus is 3 KG lighter than the standard V4.

Ducati Panigale V4 is an extremely important bike for the Italian company globally, including India. Panigale V4 won ‘world’s most beautiful bike’ award at the world-renowned EICMA Motor show 2017.
