Ford Ecosport gets new features also with increased prices. Minor features have been added in the Ecosport range. The price tag has been increased by Rs 5000 – Rs 10000, depending on the variant purchased.
Ford upgrades its compact SUV, Ecosport with new features in all the variants. Although, no changes are made to the engine and design. After the hike, Ford Ecosport is now available starting from Rs 7,82 Lakh to Rs 11.35 Lakh (ex-showroom). The reports and images were leaked on Team-BHP by its forum members.
The new Ford Ecosport now features rear parking sensors, speed sensing auto door lock and passenger seatbelt reminder on all the variants. In addition to rear parking sensors, the Trend variant also gets a rearview camera. Ford has updated the touchscreen infotainment system to a 9.0-inch unit with SYNC and navigation. Earlier 6.5-inch and 8-inch versions were available according to the variant chosen. The updated infotainment system is now available on all variants except the base Ambiente trim.

Also, features like ambient lighting and My Key are no longer offered in the Titanium variant. Instead, these features are now only available in the top end variant Titanium+ trim.

No changes have been made to the engine and body design. Ford Ecosport runs on the 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder petrol and 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engines. The Dragon Series petrol engine produces 121 BHP and 150 Nm of torque and is offered with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic. The diesel unit makes 99 BHP and 205 Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Of the two engines, the 1.5-litre Diesel is the most pocket-friendly and gives a mileage of 23 KMPL. The 1.5-litre Dragon Petrol engine offers a peak mileage of up to 17 KMPL.
The current Ecosport comes with features like Sporty Single Tone Dark Environment Theme, Front door soft armrest Hard, Distance to Empty, Average and Instant Fuel Consumption, Outside Temperature Sensor and Theatre Dimming Cabin Lights.

Also, the 2017 Ford EcoSport is now available at a discount of Rs 1,50,000, after the 2018 edition was released. There are not many changes but the pre-facelift still looks fairly modern and gets nearly all the features. The earlier version is available with three engine options including 1.0 Litre Eco Boost engine. The new 2018 Ecosport is available in only two engine options.
