That said, the 2018 Swift being a new entrant looks a tad bit modern in comparison to the now familiar looks of the Tiago. The front profile of the Swift portrays a slightly aggressive look, thanks to the large hexagonal grille and sweptback headlamps. The 2018 Swift is offered in both petrol and diesel guises. The petrol derivative comes with a 1.2-litre, K Series VVT engine. This engine produces 81.80 BHP along with 113 NM of peak torque. The diesel derivative comes with the 1.3-litre, DDiS motor. This oil-burner is good for 74 BHP along with 190 NM of peak torque. A 5-speed manual transmission is a standard across the range. This motor produces 84 BHP along with 114 NM of peak torque. The diesel derivative of the Tiago gets a 1.05-litre, 3-cylinder Revotorq engine. It produces 69 BHP along with 140 NM of peak torque. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard. Just like the Swift, the Tiago comes with a 5-speed AMT unit with both petrol and diesel derivatives.
