2018 TVS Jupiter Design Review
This scooter carries out a simple yet modern styling with its huge colour range and black alloy wheels. Although, it looks a little bit wider, which not appeal to some of the buyers. In the front, it gets a mid-sized headlamp on the handle. Below the headlamps, there is an air fender flanked by the turn indicators. Minimalist designing. On the sides, it gets a ‘Jupiter’ logo fitted on the body. As this scooter is a full metal scooter, it is a little bit stronger. On the rear side, it gets the pillion seat handles, LED tail lights flanked by turn indicators and the fuel tank just below the seat. The scooter also gets retractable bag hooks near the leg space and a dual side hand lock, which allows the rider to handle lock the scooter on both the sides.

2018 TVS Jupiter Competition
Currently, TVS Jupiter competes with Hero Maestro Edge, Yamaha Fascino and Honda Activa 5G. In the world of gearless scooters, mostly each one of them competes with the scooters costing around their price range. If you see, indirectly, there many more competitors for this scooter. However, Edge, Fascino and Activa are the main ones.
Activa 5G is the highest selling scooter in India, but Jupiter manages to grab a piece of Activa’s sales. It looks more stylish and is bigger than the Activa. In terms of features, there is hardly any difference as each one of them offer 1-2 features more than the other. So if you see it, Activa is the biggest and the toughest competitor for this TVS. Maestro Edge offers good styling and like Activa, it hardly differs in features. However, Maestro offers lesser mileage figure than Jupiter. Lastly, Yamaha Fascino looks like a European scooter with its premium colours and styling elements. However, Jupiter misses out on LED tail lights, mobile charging socket, a digital-analogue console and few more features. If you look at the pricing, the top end variant of this TVS scooter is the costliest amongst the four. But normally, Fascino is the costliest amongst the four models.
