The overall design of the 2018 Creta remains identical to the current spec model. That said, Hyundai has given some minor tweaks to the new version of this vehicle. For instance, the front fascia of the Creta now comes with a redesigned bumper. It has a slightly more curvaceous design around the edges. Furthermore, the chrome grille also bears a little change. The faux skid plates under the bumper are now more prominent than before. The side profile of the compact SUV is going to remain identical with this update. The only major visual change is the new Diamond cut alloy wheels. From the rear, the Creta Facelift remains similar to the current spec model. However, it too comes with a restyled bumper.

Just like the exterior profile of the 2018 Creta, the interiors too remain the same as before. The overall layout of the dashboard and other elements will stay identical, which is nothing to complain about. The cabin will continue to come with a dual-tone colour scheme of black and beige. However, just like the i20 facelift, we can see Hyundai darkening the beige component a bit to prevent soiling.

The biggest alteration, however, is going to be the replacement of the old infotainment system with the new one. This is the same unit which we see on the Elite i20 Facelift. The system is very easy to operate and comes with Apple Car Play and Android Auto Connectivity. It also offers features like satellite navigation and acts as a display for the rear parking camera. Hyundai will also change the knobs and buttons on the centre console and steering wheel to further improve the cabin’s over quality. Furthermore, Hyundai is likely to introduce a rear-seat armrest in the top-spec versions. Not only this, but the Creta Facelift is going to get a sunroof as well. It is likely that the engine specifications of the new Creta remain identical to the current spec model. Currently, the Hyundai Creta is available with a choice of two diesel (1.4-litre and 1.6-litre) and one petrol (1.6-litre) engine. According to some recent media reports, it is likely that Hyundai will discontinue the 1.4-litre diesel from Creta line-up with this update. Talking about these engines, the 1.6-litre VTVT petrol engine produces 121 BHP along with 151 Nm of peak torque. While the 1.6-litre U2 CRDi oil-burner is good for 126 BHP and 269 Nm of peak torque. The compact SUV is going to get a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard across the range. While a 6-speed automatic gearbox will also make it to both the petrol and diesel line-ups.

Price INR 9.43 lakh to INR 15.03 lakh

The prices of the new Creta have gone slightly upward. The base petrol variant of the older spec model of the Creta retails at INR 9.29 lakh. While the top-spec diesel automatic variant went for 14.60 lakh. Now the base petrol variant is going to retail at INR 9.43 lakhs. While the range-topping diesel engine costs INR 15.03 lakhs.
