Nissan has launched the Terrano Sport Edition, which comes with new top of the end features. The SUV comes with added cosmetic changes and an addition of some features. The SUV is priced at Rs 12.26 Lakhs (ex-showroom) and it competes with Hyundai Creta and Renault Duster.
The new Nissan Terrano Sport special edition gets dynamic body decals with an all-black roof wrap, black wrapped pillars and new wheel-arch claddings. The SUV’s hood, fenders, rear bumper, and front and rear doors get some new stripe decals. Nissan Terrano Sport Edition comes with features such as premium dual tone interior; 7.0 touchscreen navigation system; steering mounted audio/phone control; touch lane change indicator; dual-airbags; Daytime Running Lights, ABS and EBD with BA. Other than some cosmetic and features upgrades, the SUV gets no other upgrades in terms of engine and transmission. The Nissan Terrano comes with an option of a 6-Speed Advanced Auto Drive in the top-end variant.

It also gets NissanConnect, an integrated communication system that connects with the customer’s smartphone for driving assistance. This intelligent mobility package comes with 50+ features and 3 years of free services providing best-in-class safety, security & convenience. Geo-fencing, Speed Alert, Curfew Alert, nearby pit stops, Locate My Car and Share My Car Location are some of its notable features.

Nissan Terrano comes in 3 variants – 1.6 Litre Petrol, 1.5 Litre Diesel and 1.5 Litre Diesel THP. The 1.6 Litre Petrol engine produces 102 BHP worth power and 145 Nm worth torque. It records a mileage figure of 13.4 KMPL. The 1.5 Litre Diesel engine is turbocharged and produces 84 BHP worth power and 200 Nm worth torque. It delivers a mileage figure of 20 KMPL. The 1.5 Litre THP engine is available in the high-end variants. The turbocharged THP engine produces 109 BHP worth power and 245 Nm worth torque. It delivers a mileage figure of 19.1 KMPL.

The current Nissan Terrano comes with features like ABS with EBD, Hill hold and descent control, dual air-bags, rear parking sensors, rear ac vents and some more features. However, despite adding more features on the Sport Edition, the SUV still misses out on a lot of features. Nissan Terrano starts from Rs 9.90 Lakhs and goes up to Rs 14.48 Lakhs (ex-showroom). Currently, it competes mainly with Hyundai Creta and Renault Duster.
