Mercedes has revealed a new special edition trim for the C-Class, which will be made available across the saloon, estate, coupe and cabriolet body styles of its BMW 3 Series rival later this month.
Called Nightfall Edition, the new cars aren’t based on the recently facelifted car, and are instead run-out specials ahead of the updated C-Class arriving in showrooms in June.

The special Nightfall trim is based largely on AMG Line, featuring black ash wood trim inside alongside a flat bottomed AMG steering wheel. The sporty looking AMG Line bodykit is equipped as well, to give it some AMG visual appeal.
Changes to the recipe include powder coated matt black wheels, either 18-inch and five spoke in design, or 19-inch multispoke and AMG branded. The wing mirror casings are black too, while black graphics and carbon rear lip spoilers are fitted to coupe and cabriolet cars. Just three paint colour options are offered – Iridium Silver, Selenite Grey or Obsidian Black.
As the Nightfall Edition cars are based on the outgoing version of the fourth-generation C-Class, they miss out on the refreshed car’s revised exterior styling details, updated infotainment and new engines.
When the fresh C-Class hits showrooms next month, a new 10.25-inch central display will be standard fit, with fully digital dials on the options list as well. Under the bonnet, a new 2.0-litre AM654 four-cylinder turbodiesel from the E-Class is also available, plus a 1.5-litre petrol with 48v mild hybrid assistance.
