2018 Ford Aspire facelift might launch by June 2018, after Ford’s plan to launch 4 updated models. Recently, the sedan was spotted with some cosmetic changes, improved cabin and some added features. The car was spotted undisguised, which suggests that the launch is near. It currently starts from Rs 5.67 Lakhs.
Ford recently stopped the production of its compact sedan, Ford Aspire. However, recent spy images show that Aspire gets a facelift with added features, an improved cabin and minor cosmetic changes on the exterior. The recent spy images by Auto Adrenaline suggest that the car receives an updated bumper with air vents, detailed tail lights and new wheel covers. Besides some changes on the rear, it also gets some upgrades on the front side. The earlier updates suggest that it also gets a new floating infotainment system, a new front grille with upgraded mesh and a new style of alloy wheels. Also, the positioning of the headlights and LED lights have changed and the tail lights are tweaked. An unusual thing noticed was a new ‘Ford Figo Aspire’ badge on the rear body, considering that it dropped ‘Figo’ from its name last year.

2018 Ford Aspire Facelift could get a new 1.2-litre Dragon petrol engine, which is already available in Ford Freestyle. Currently, Ford Aspire comes with a 1.5-litre Dragon petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The 1.2-litre motor makes 94 BHP worth power and 115 Nm worth of torque. The diesel engine makes 99 BHP worth of power and 215 Nm worth of torque. The 1.5 Litre Dragon petrol produces 123 BHP worth of power and 150 Nm of torque. The 1.2 Litre petrol claims to offer 18.16 km/l of fuel efficiency. On the other hand, the 1.5-litre petrol and the diesel offer 17 km/l and 25.8 km/l mileage respectively. Mostly, the 1.5 Litre Petrol will get a 6-speed automatic Torque Converter gearbox.

The current Ford Aspire offers 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, Hill Assist and ESP in terms of safety. Other features include Automatic Climate Control, Push Start-stop button, fog lamps and Bluetooth connected music system. It does not come with a floating touch-infotainment system, which comes in the Freestyle and Ecosport. However, the recent spy images show the new touch infotainment system.

Currently, the Aspire comes in 5 variants – Ambiente, Trend, Titanium, Titanium Plus, Titanium Sport and Titanium AT. However, only the 1.2 Litre Petrol and 1.5 Litre diesel get 5 variants each and the 1.5 Litre Petrol only comes with an AT option. The 2018 Ford Aspire Facelift might get the new torque converters. Ford Aspire ranges from Rs 6.06 Lakhs to Rs 9.59 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
