The Nissan Kicks compact SUV is all set to launch in India by the end of this year. It is going to sport a price tag of INR 12 lakh to 16 lakh. Hence, it will compete against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Jeep Compass, Renault Captur and the Mahindra XUV 500.
After its global debut back in 2016, the Nissan Kicks is finally going to arrive in India this year. Recent developments suggest that this compact SUV is likely to launch in our country around the month of December 2018. The Kicks will essentially sit above the Terrano. As a result of this, we are estimating it to have a starting price of INR 10.5 lakh. Naturally, it will rival the likes of Hyundai Creta, Renault Capture and to some extent with the Mahindra XUV 500 and the Jeep Compass. The Nissan Kicks uses the same platform as the Capture, Duster and Terrano. This will help the Japanese automaker in increasing the percentage of localisation in the manufacturing of this vehicle. Resulting in a competitive pricing.

Nissan Kicks India Specifications
In India, the Nissan Kicks is likely to come with the same 1.5-litre diesel that powers the Nissan Terrano. The 84 bhp guise could be given a miss and only the 108 bhp version could be used. The Latin American market gets a 1.6-litre petrol with the choice of either a 5-speed manual or a CVT. With petrol powered cars gaining traction once again, it is highly likely Nissan will introduce petrol variants of the Kicks.

Nissan Kicks India – Exterior Design
Almost a year ago, Nissan showcased the Kicks concept. The production-spec model seen in the images here is nearly identical. The concept’s headlamps and tail lamps have given way to production spec units. It gets new alloys and some of the orange highlights around the bumper and grille area have been lost. Nissan’s now characteristic window line has been retained. And so has the dual tone paint scheme.
Nissan Kicks India – Interior Design
On the inside, a 7-inch touchscreen display takes centre stage. The dashboard has been given a dual tone treatment while the steering wheel gets silver highlights. Nissan Kicks small SUV gets digital-analogue instrument console. The SUV employs four cameras that give the driver a 360-degree view of the car. The equipment list is the recent featuring kit like a mart key, push-button start, touchscreen with navigation, auto aircon, etc.
