All-new Maruti Small Car

This upcoming Maruti car could be one of the most important of all upcoming cars under 10 lakhs. The new Maruti small car will likely acquire the spot between the Alto and Celerio. It will be a Renault Kwid competitor. This means it will have an SUV-like stance and high ground clearance. For this purpose, this car is expected to borrow design cues from the Suzuki Crosshiker concept.

Next-Gen Maruti Alto

The new Maruti Wagon R will have an all-new exterior and interior design. Its engine specifications will remain the same as before. Top-spec version can get features like projector headlamps, automatic climate control and touchscreen infotainment system. The hatchback will have dual-airbags and ABS as standard across the range.
All-new Hyundai Santro

The Santro is Hyundai India’s most-known product to date. With neither the i10 or Eon being able to make a dent in Alto’ sales, Hyundai is reportedly working on bringing this car back to life. The Wagon R 7-Seater will have the same exterior and interior design as the next-generation WagonR. The production of this budget MPV is speculated to start by the end of this year. Expect it to launch in India during the first quarter of 2019. It will get a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine as standard. AMT variant is on the cards as well.
All-new Maruti Suzuki Gypsy

The 1.0-litre BoosterJet engine may find its way under the hood of this car.

The Datsun Go Cross was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in concept form. It did get a good response from the visitors. Also, the cabin material quality will be top-notch as well.

All-new Nissan Micra

Tata Tiago Aktiv

Tata Tiago JTP

Chinese automaker SAIC will set up shop in India with MG Cars. Of the cars likely to come to India, the MG 3 is likely to fall under the upcoming cars under 10 lakhs category. In India, it will likely face off against the likes of Ford Figo, Hyundai Elite i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Honda Jazz.
Kia Picanto

Fiat Argo

Hence, it will likely compete against not just the likes of Honda Jazz and Hyundai Elite i20 but also Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS and Volkswagen Polo GT.
Maruti Vitara Brezza Petrol

In order to further bump up the sales of the Vitara Brezza, Maruti Suzuki is soon going to introduce petrol variant in the sub-compact SUV’s model line-up. Going by the recent media reports, we believe that this Brezza petrol will launch in India this year itself. It could either get Baleno RS’s 1.0-litre Boosterjet engine, or the Ciaz’s 1.4-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor. In addition to this, the SUV will also get a new AMT variant added to its line-up as well.

Kia Rio

Hyundai Grand i10-based MPV

The Grand i10 has been a decent performer for Hyundai in India. Reports suggest the carmaker is working on an MPV based off the Grand i10 hatchback. Mahindra Scorpio Facelift

As a result of the extensive work required, don’t expect the car to come to India before 2018.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift

The Ciaz facelift is likely to be a subtle one. This is because the current car still looks as good as it did when it was all-new in the market. The engines will remain the same but are likely to be tweaked for slightly more power and torque.
Kia Ceed

The Ceed is a large premium hatchback from Kia Motors. It is likely that Kia will bring this car to India upon its debut in the country. Toyota Rush

Mahindra TUV500

All-new Tata Safari
