Hero Xtreme 200R India Launch Likely This Festive Season

The much-awaited Hero Xtreme 200R India launch is happening this festive season. The bike has been launched in North Eastern states at a price of Rs 88,000. At this price, this bike is cheapest amongst its competition. The 200cc naked sports bike will take on the Apache RTR 200 4V, Pulsar NS200 and Duke 200. 

The Xtreme 200R has been launched in the North Eastern states and West Bengal at a price of Rs 88,000 (ex-showroom). There, the deliveries have begun and various buyer reviews have also come up. Recent reports say that the Hero Xtreme 200R India launch of this bike will be in the festive season period. It is a 200cc naked street bike offering from Hero Motocorp. Currently, Hero is one of the leaders in the commuter bikes segment. It has many bikes in the 110cc and 125cc segment. Although it has the Karizma ZMR in its lineup, that bike has failed to make its mark here. The 200R is a heavily reworked model of the Xtreme Sports. That’s why for some, the 200R may look similar to the Xtreme Sports.

The Hero Xtreme 200R sports a 200cc engine that produces around 18.1 BHP of power and 17.1 Nm of torque. The top-speed recorded on this bike is around 118 KMPH and has touched 0-60 KMPH in 4.6 seconds. The claimed mileage of the bike is around 40 KMPL with a riding range of around 496 Kms. The 200R gets a balancer shaft, which will help keep the vibrations to the minimum.

Features of the bike include, Halogen headlamps, LED pilot lights, LED tail lights, dual-coloured seat and a semi-digital instrument console. The cluster gets a clock, fuel indicator and trip meter. For safety, the bike gets front and rear disc brakes with a single-channel ABS. For suspension, it gets a 7-step rear adjustable monoshock. The bike comes with radial tyres for better grip. Overall, it still lacks some places in terms of features. Considering its competitors, the features are much less, but the price of this bike is also much lesser than them.

After the Hero Xtreme 200R India launch, it will take on Apache RTR 200 4V, Pulsar NS200 and the Duke 200. All these three bikes are priced above Rs 1 Lakh. We expect the 200R to be priced around Rs 92,000 (ex-showroom).
