Honda Jazz 2018 Facelift Launched In India- Gets Digipad 2.0, Parking Sensors & Better NV Levels

The Honda Jazz 2018 Facelift comes with little to no visual updates. However, there is a sizable jump in features and safety equipment.

Honda Car India has today finally launched the 2018 iteration of the Jazz premium hatchback in India. With this mid-life update which has been due for a long time, the Japanese automaker has kept the visual changes to the minimum. That said, it does come with several minor aesthetic updates to give it a slightly fresher look. Major changes can be seen inside the cabin where the car now sports a new touchscreen infotainment system. In addition to this, the car is now going to come with speed sensing auto-door locks and reverse parking sensors, missing from the earlier version. Furthermore, Honda has reduced the number of variants. The Jazz is now available in S, V and VX variants with the base S only available on the diesel trim. Talking about the engine specifications, they remain the same as before. More on this below.

Honda Jazz 2018 Facelift Review – Exterior Design

The exterior design of the new Jazz looks exactly similar to the older model. There are no big changes done. We were expecting Honda to introduce a new grille design, new bumpers and also a set of new alloy wheels. But it seems that the Indian market is not going to get any of the updates the Euro Sec car gets. One of the major reason cited for this is that with the new bumper design, the car would have exceeded the 4-meter mark. The only new bits added to the exterior of the car are new tail-lamps (only on the range-topping models), chrome door handles and two new exterior paint schemes.

Honda Jazz 2018 Facelift Interior

Coming to the interior of the new Honda Jazz 2018 facelift, the cabin remains largely the same. The India-spec model, however, is expected to get an upholstery change and a set of new features. That said, we don’t see bits like an auto-dimming Interior Rear View Mirror in the pictures here. But we’re hoping that in India, the top trim will get the Digipad touchscreen unit that is even available in the new City. This is a modern infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink. The unit offers a 7-inch touchscreen interface and also offers Sat-nav and Telephony options. You even get a WiFi support along with a 1.5 GB internal storage.
