Many adventure bikes are slated to launch in India in the coming 1-2 years. After a good play by the Himalayan, a some might come under the Rs 3-4 Lakhs range. Amongst those, one is the KTM 390 Adventure. It is scheduled to launch next year. Here, we list details about the launch, price, specs and features.
Many of you would love to try an adventure bike with all the rugged dirt-bike looks. Under the ideal Indian budget of around Rs 1.5 Lakhs, the nearest and the only one you can get is the RE Himalayan. Recently, KTM India confirmed about the launch of the KTM 390 Adventure. KTM already has a huge fan following amongst the youth, and this one would have a whole different dirt-bike type design. The ADV gets an altogether new design and platform, which is rarely seen in India. It can be seen by taking some of its elements from the 1190 Adventure. It will get a 373cc engine that produces 41 BHP worth of power and 37 Nm worth of torque. This will become KTM’s entry-level ADV and will get competition from Royal Enfield Himalayan and the upcoming Hero Xpulse. Read ahead to get more details on the upcoming adventure bike.

KTM has gained a considerable amount of popularity in the Indian market in a short span of time. This is thanks to its hugely successful Duke 200 and the Duke 390. Even the RC twins have been doing good numbers. Now, it seems, the company plans to capitalize on its high brand value by launching the KTM 390 Adventure in India.

KTM recently confirmed the launch of this bike in 2019. The bike is currently under works and it was last spied in December 2016.

Mechanically the engine is the same as the one seen on the KTM Duke 390 producing 42.9 BHP and 35 Nm torque coupled with a 6-speed gearbox. However, we expect a slightly different state of tune inclined more towards low-end torque delivery.

Basically, the 390 Adventure will be a multi-purpose vehicle meant to handle off-road conditions and rugged terrain with ease. The bike will be given a very rugged look with a beefy front fairing inspired by the 1190 Adventure and meatier tyres. To aid its off-road capabilities, the bike will be fitted with more heavy duty components and will feature additional kit such as
