Adventure bikes are usually used for long tours and off-roading. They provide the perfect suspension and ride hight to take you over the worst roads. After the BMW G 310 GS and the upcoming Hero Xpulse, another upcoming entrant is the KTM 390 Adventure. Read on to get more details on the upcoming ADV bike.
The Austrian bike maker, KTM has been giving us racing-cum-commuting bikes since some time. The popular ones in the market include KTM Duke 200, 250, 390, the RC 200 and 390. While these bikes are getting their demands up in the market, another one is gearing up for that. Recently, KTM India confirmed about the India launch of KTM 390 Adventure in 2019. It will primarily go up against the newly launched BMW G 310 GS. Well, the pricing may be costlier than the regular KTMs, at around Rs 3-4 Lakhs. Still, KTM has always overpriced its bikes in comparison to other bikes in the segment. This upcoming bike looks similar to the 1190 Adventure and takes some styling elements from there. The bike will get a 373cc engine churning out 41 BHP of power and 37 Nm of torque. Let’s move ahead to get more details of the bike.

KTM has gained a considerable amount of popularity in the Indian market in a short span of time. This is thanks to its hugely successful Duke 200 and the Duke 390. Even the RC twins have been doing good numbers. Now, it seems, the company plans to capitalize on its high brand value by launching the KTM 390 Adventure in India.

KTM recently confirmed the launch of this bike in 2019. The bike is currently under works and it was last spied in December 2016.

Mechanically the engine is the same as the one seen on the KTM Duke 390 producing 42.9 BHP and 35 Nm torque coupled with a 6-speed gearbox. However, we expect a slightly different state of tune inclined more towards low-end torque delivery.

Basically, the 390 Adventure will be a multi-purpose vehicle meant to handle off-road conditions and rugged terrain with ease. The bike will be given a very rugged look with a beefy front fairing inspired by the 1190 Adventure and meatier tyres. To aid its off-road capabilities, the bike will be fitted with more heavy duty components and will feature additional kit such as
