MINI (F56) Hatchback Used Car Video Review

Since being relaunched by BMW in 2001 the MINI brand has been an incredible success. For that you can thank the way it combines the sense of cheeky fun you’d expect of a classic Mini with modern standards of build quality, safety and reliability.

In this latest CarGurus Used Car Video Review we have concentrated on the third-generation of BMW MINI hatchback, codename F56, which was launched in 2014 and serves as a rival to the Audi A1, Ford Fiesta and Volkswagen Polo, among others. The car in our video is a MINI Cooper, meaning it is powered by a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder turbo petrol engine and thus sits in the middle of the MINI line-up between the entry-level One and the more powerful Cooper S. The car was kindly supplied for our video by used car supermarket Fords of Winsford, which at any given time has around 50 MINIs in stock.

In our video review (above) we demonstrate how the third-generation MINI is usefully more practical than its predecessors, as well as explaining what the various upgrades, such as the Pepper Pack and Chili Pack, consist of. We also cover reliability, highlighting any potential problems to look out for, and compare running costs for the various engines.

Having watched the video you can then visit the CarGurus UK website and take advantage of the unique way our search algorithms have been designed to help you find your perfect MINI. Specifically, rather than simply ranking listings according to what car is cheapest, we compare cars based on a range of factors that includes make, model, age, mileage and specification, and then order listings according to what represents the best deal in your search area. In doing so you can gain a clear picture of how keenly a car is priced, which combined with dealer ratings helps to fulfil our aim of bringing far more transparency to the traditionally tricky process of buying a used car.

With thanks to Fords of Winsford for providing the MINI hatchback in our video. See their full stock on the CarGurus UK website.
