Recently, Tata Motors tied up with Jayem Auto to produce more powerful versions of their existing engines. The result of this can be seen in the upcoming Tata Tiago JTP. The ‘JTP’ stands for ‘Jayem Tata Performance’. The JTP variant gets major visual updates and a new and more powerful engine. However, it will get the same features as seen on the standard Tiago. Recently, the car was spotted in Neelgiri mountains, during some high altitude testing. The spy photos suggest that the car will get heavy detailed graphics and a new set of alloys too, which we think will make it look sportier. Currently, the car starts from Rs 3.35 Lakhs and goes up to Rs 5.99 Lakhs. Expect the JTP to price between the range of Rs 6 Lakhs to Rs 6.5 Lakhs (ex-showroom). Tata Tiago JTP Design
The design of the JTP variant is quite different and better from the normal variant. The main design highlights include vents on the hood and fenders, side skirts, gloss back paint on the rear diffusers, contrast roof paint, red-coloured ORVM caps, and JTP badge on the front grille. Also, it will get new shiny alloy wheels, much much sportier than the standard variant.
Tata Tiago JTP Interiors
The interiors of the JTP also receive a makeover from the normal Tiago. The upcoming hatchback gets an infotainment system with an eight-speaker Harman Kardon system, added air intakes and much classier interiors with upholstering leather seats. It also gets aluminium pedals to add to the sportiness of the hatchback. Other interior features include interior lamps with theatre dimming, Dual tone interior scheme and Tablet storage in the glove box.

Tata Tiago JTP Features
It is the entry-level car from Tata but offers much more features than an entry-level car. However, the JTP does not get any changes in the features list. It will continue with the same features seen in the top variant of the Tiago. Exterior features of the car include Sporty 3 dimensional headlamps and ORVM with LED turn indicator. For infotainment it gets ConnectNext Infotainment system, 8 Harman Kardon speakers, navigation and voice calling option through the app. For better performance, it offers Multi drive modes, Electric power steering with tilt adjustment, Electric adjustment for ORVM and Cooled Glove Box. Safety features include Dual Airbags, Follow-me-home lamps, Rear parking sensors, Day & Night IRVM, ABS with EBD & Corner Stability Control and Rear defogger. Tata Tiago JTP Engine
Mostly, the JTP variant will come only in petrol variant. It will get Nexon’s 1.2 Litre Turbocharged Revotron petrol engine. The powerful engine now produces a maximum power of 110 BHP and the maximum torque of 150 Nm. The engine will come mated to a 5-speed Manual. It is likely to get an AMT variant.

Tata Tiago JTP Price And Competition
Currently, the Tiago starts from Rs 3.35 Lakhs and goes up to Rs 5.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The JTP variant will be based on the top-spec XZ variant. So, this one will demand a premium of around Rs 50,000 more than the current Tiago. Expect the hatchback to be priced between Rs 6 Lakhs to Rs 6.5 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The Tiago JTP will compete with Ford Figo S and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Swift RS. The Tiago JTP could be the cheapest hot hatchback in India.
