Hyundai Santro 2018 is all set to launch in India during the month of October this year. Its prices will fall in the range of INR 3.5 lakh to 6.5 lakh. This will make it compete against the likes of Maruti Wagon R, Tata Tiago and Renault KWID.
Hyundai Motors India is soon going to introduce an all-new entry-level hatchback in India. The South Korean automaker has confirmed that this new vehicle is going to launch in India during the month of October this year. Likely to be named the Santro, this car will bring back the well-renowned moniker of the original compact hatch to India. The new Santro is going to replace the i10 from Hyundai’s model line-up in our country. However, speculations suggest that it will use the same power terrains as the former. Unlike the i10 however, the 2018 Santro will score high on safety, equipment list and practicality. Not only this, but this new entry-level hatchback is going to be Hyundai’s first car to launch in India with an AMT gearbox.

The next-generation Hyundai’s small car will get a petrol engine in its line-up. This is going to be the same 1.0-litre motor that the current spec i10 uses. This motor produces 68 BHP of power along with 99 Nm of peak torque. The 2018 Santro is going to get a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. Hyundai might also introduce an automatic variant as well.
