The much anticipated Hero Xtreme 200R has been launched country-wide. Earlier, it was launched in North Eastern states only. It is a 200cc naked bike offering from Hero Motocorp and has been priced at Rs 89,900 (ex-showroom Delhi). In the North Eastern states, it was launched for Rs 88,000 (ex-showroom). The sales of the bike are starting soon as the units will be dispatched to dealers from factories starting next week. The Xtreme 200R is the first among the new range of Hero’s premium motorcycles that are slated for launch this year. For a long time, Hero was pending to have a new premium motorcycle. At the launch of the bike, the MD, and CEO of Hero Motocorp, Pawan Munjal said, “For us, the Xtreme 200R is not just any other product launch – it will catapult us to where we have been earlier – the premium segment. It is, therefore, our re-entry into a segment where we had a sizeable presence and market share not too long ago. Designed specifically for the youth, the Xtreme 200R is an expression of our serious intent in a high growth segment. With the upcoming festive season in India, the Xtreme 200R will help us consolidate our market leadership. We will also soon commence sales of the Xtreme 200R in our global markets as well.”
The Xtreme 200R is powered by a 199.6cc single-cylinder engine. This engine produces 18.1 BHP of power and 17.1 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox with a multi-plate wet clutch.

The estimated mileage of the bike is around 35 KMPL. The fuel tank capacity is 12.5 Litres. It reaches a top speed of 114 km/hr. The bike races from 0-60 km/h in 4.6 seconds. It also gets additional shaft balancers for reducing the vibrations from the bike.
Now coming to the features, the Hero Xtreme 200R is the first in its segment to get ABS as a standard fitment. The feature list includes LED pilot lamps, LED tail lamp with guide lights, sporty digi-analogue information cluster, front and rear disc brakes, newly designed contoured seats and striking dual-tone graphics.

The Xtreme 200R comes in five dual-tone colour combinations – Panther Black with cool Silver, Panther Black with Red, Sports Red, Charcoal Grey with Orange and Techno Blue.
For suspension duties, it uses Telescopic hydraulic type suspension in the front and 7-step Adjustable mono-shock suspension in the rear. Adjustable suspensions help you in driving the bike on different terrains like off-road, muddy, swamps, highways and more.

For braking, it uses a 276mm disc in the front paired to a Single-Channel ABS and 220mm disc at the rear. The bike weighs around 148 kgs and gets a fuel tank capacity of 12.5 Litres. For better performance, it gets 130mm wide Radial tires.
