The Suzuki Ertiga Sport pictures have been leaked before its debut at the 2019 GIIAS. It is still in its concept form and is unlikely to go in the production lineup. This could be sold either as a special edition or on a normal Ertiga with additional accessories.
Since its launch, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has only got one update which gave a revised cabin, new alloys and minor exterior changes. It is still one of the best-selling MPV, primarily because of its 7-seater arrangement, low pricing and fuel efficiency. It fits as a perfect family car. Now, it is going to receive a generation update. The new-gen Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is expected to launch in this festive season. Another latest news regarding the Ertiga is that the Suzuki Ertiga Sport has been leaked ahead of its premiere at 2018 GIIAS. Currently, the new-generation Ertiga is available in Indonesia. The Sport concept is based on the Indonesian-spec model. However, the leaked car is just a concept and might not even come in the production lineup.

The leaked photos suggest that it just gets a body kit and some sporty design elements. There will be no performance as well as features upgrade. The Suzuki Ertiga sport gets a blacked-out grille, a body kit with roof spoilers and side skirts and smoked headlamps. The ride height has also been decreased. The current Ertiga has a ground clearance of 180 mm. It looks like, it might have some suspension tuning done too. Also, the alloy-rims have been changed and its look like a 16-inch wheelset. Barring these, there are no changes in this Sport concept.

For the engine, the Suzuki Ertiga Sport could use the 1.5 Litre K15B petrol unit. This unit produces 104 BHP at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. For transmission, it uses a 5-speed transmission with an optional 4-speed automatic. If it gets a diesel variant, it will continue with old and tested 1.3 Litre DDiS diesel engine. This engine produces 88 BHP of power and 200 Nm of torque.

The new-gen Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is expected to launch in India in this festive season. Well, most of the Maruti cars got updates recently. Only WagonR, Ertiga and Alto are remaining. Along with the Ertiga, the new-generation WagonR might also launch this year. The new Ertiga will have new features list but not many cosmetic changes. Expect the MPV to cost a little high starting from Rs 6.5 Lakhs to Rs 10.5 Lakhs (ex-showroom). ‘
