2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is likely going to launch in last week of October. Currently, some dealerships have started accepting unofficial booking token amounts. The MPV is expected to cost starting from Rs 7.5 Lakhs up to Rs 10.5 Lakhs.
Recently yet again, the new-generation Ertiga was spotted testing on the Indian roads. Now, the latest scoop from CarAndBike reveals that the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is going to launch in the last week of October. This is the perfect time in the festive season, as it falls a week before Diwali. Also, unofficially bookings for the MPV have started at dealership levels. Various dealerships have started taking booking amounts of Rs 11,000. It will be sold through the regular Maruti Suzuki dealerships and not through Nexa premium dealerships. The new-generation Ertiga gets minor cosmetic changes, a new petrol engine and also is a bit larger than the current Generation Ertiga. It is expected to cost between Rs 7.5 Lakhs to Rs 10.5 Lakhs, which means around Rs 50,000 to 1,00,000 more expensive than the current generation.

The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will come with a new 1.5 Litre K15B petrol engine, which featured in the new Ciaz. For diesel, it will continue with the tried and tested 1.3 Litre DDiS engine. The petrol engine produces 107 BHP of power and 138 Nm of torque. The diesel engine churns out 88 BHP of power and 220 Nm of torque. For transmission, it will come with a 5-speed Manual along with an option of a 4-speed torque converter unit in the petrol version.
The changes of the exterior body of the new Ertiga includes an extended headlamp, a revised large chrome grille, new alloy wheels and a revised bumper. Also, the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is larger than the current generation. In the interiors, it gets a dual-tone colour combination of black-beige. Somewhat, the interiors look similar to the new Dzire and a premium appeal can be immediately felt when you enter the cabin.

Features onboard the new Ertiga will include Projector Headlamps, LED DRL, LED Tail-lamps, SmartPlay Infotainment System, Automatic Climate Control, Electrically Adjustable ORVMs, Tilt-Adjustable Steering Wheel, Height Adjustable Driver’s Seat, Roof-Mounted Air-Con Vents and Push-button start system.
Safety features on the MPV will include Dual Airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution) and ISOFIX Child Seat Mounts. Also, it gets the reverse parking sensors with a camera.

Lastly, we talk about its price. Currently, it retails from Rs 6.34 Lakhs onwards. More feature upgrades will be seen in the lower variants so the base variants will cost a little more. We expect the MPV to be priced from Rs 7.5 Lakhs up to Rs 10.5 Lakhs. Currently, in its price range, there are no MPVs. The Renault Lodgy and TUV 300 Plus are priced a bit expensive and the Marazzo starts at INR 9.99 Lakhs
