After the launch of G 310 twins, BMW has revealed the G 310RR globally. The fully-faired sportsbike is most likely going to come to India in 2019. Here, it will take on the likes of Duke RC 390, Ninja 300 and Apache RR 310.
After much awaited, the BMW G 310 twins were launched in India. With these bikes, we saw the most affordable BMW bikes in India. The G 310 R retails at Rs 2.99 Lakhs and the GS is priced at Rs 3.49 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). Now, after the launch of both these bikes, the BMW G310 RR is going to launch. First, it will come to the global market, followed by which, it will come to the Indian market. Unlike the naked G 310R, RR will be a fully-faired sportsbike. It has been unveiled at the BMW Motorrad days in Japan. With a heavy competitive price, it will take on the likes of KTM Duke RC 390, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and TVS Apache RR 310. To compete with these bikes, the G 310RR should be priced around Rs 3 Lakhs.

The BMW G 310RR shares its design cues from the S1000RR superbike. We say because of the false asymmetric headlights, aggressive front, and rear fairing and the carbon fibre body. However, this is just a concept model and we do not know the exact details of the production body. But, if it really comes with a carbon fibre body, it might be much lighter than the G 310R.
Other noticeable highlights include lower placed clip-on handlebars, a more committed riding posture, the beefy fuel tank, and the rear positioned foot pegs. Also, the upswept exhaust cannot be seen and rather they have an under seat unit. Rest of the gold anodized suspension, rear suspension, brakes, and electricals are borrowed from the G 310R.

The BMW G 310RR will continue with the same engine as in the 310R. It uses a liquid-cooled 313cc engine. This engine delivers 34 BHP @ 9500 RPM and 28 Nm @ 7500 RPM of torque. The estimated mileage by this engine is around 25-27 kmpl. The engine comes paired to a 6-speed transmission with wet multi-plate clutch.
The feature list of the BMW G 310RR will also be similar to the 310R. It will come with features such as Front and rear disc brake, ABS, Gold Anodized Upside Down Telescopic Forks, Smoked Turn Signal Lenses, LED Rear Light, Multi-functional LCD display, Toolkit, Cast Aluminium wheels, and a Skid Plate. For better convenience, it might get dual projector headlamps.

Lastly, when we talk about the competition that it will face in India, is fixed. The rivals would include KTM RC390, Yamaha YZF-R3, Kawasaki Ninja 300, TVS Apache RR 310 and Benelli 302R. Most of these bikes are priced between Rs 2 lakhs to Rs 3 Lakhs. So, the 310RR needs to be priced around the price of G 310R only.
