List of factory fitted CNG cars in India – Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Grand i10 and more

Amidst the rising petrol and diesel prices, CNG prices are still reasonably less. So, we prepare a list of CNG cars in India which will help your pockets.

The petrol and diesel prices are rising day by day. Recently, petrol touched a record high of Rs 80.59 per litre and diesel went up to Rs 72.83 per litre in Delhi NCR. With these skyrocketing prices, it is getting difficult for a middle-class man to afford taking out his car everyday to office. While the blame game is happening between Modi Government and the Opposition, we are just mere spectators. Over the past 7-8 years, the use of CNG has increased tremendously. Many private owners and a huge number of taxis have adapted to the cheaper alternative. Today, the CNG rate in Delhi is Rs 40.51 per kg. It is nearly half the price of petrol.

First, let me explain the working of CNG. CNG cars also require petrol. Basically, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) does not have that much power for the initial torque and ignition. For that, it relies on petrol. Petrol does the ignition work and initial torque support. Once it reaches the perfect stage, CNG takes over. However, the use of petrol in CNG cars is minimal and a full tank of petrol with CNG would last for 2 months easily.
