Latest media reports have revealed a leaked image of the upcoming Tata Nexon Kraz Edition. It might launch this month on the 1 year anniversary of Tata Nexon. It gets mild cosmetic upgrades outside and inside, without any mechanical updates.
Tata Nexon launched in September 2017 and has been one of the most popular cars under 10 Lakhs. Now, to commemorate its 1 year anniversary, Tata Nexon Kraz Edition might launch this month. Autocar India has revealed a photo of the neon-coloured Nexon special edition. While it gets some changes on the exterior and interior, there are no mechanical changes on the compact SUV. It gets a black-grey dual tone paint scheme on the exterior. Hints of neon highlights are seen on the ORVMs, front and rear wheel caps and on the front grille. The wheel cap says that the Special Edition will be based on the XT variant and would not come on the higher-end trims. So, it loses out on rear parking camera, touchscreen infotainment system and more. The Tata Nexon starts from Rs 6.15 Lakhs and goes up to Rs 10.59 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).

In the interiors, it will get some hints of the neon colour as well. The Tata Nexon Kraz Edition gets neon hints around the AC vents and also neon colour stitching on the seat covers. Also, it gets a special ‘Kraz’ bade which is also neon coloured. However, it does get one feature that is found on the higher-spec trims. The Tata Nexon Kraz Edition gets a grey-coloured roof contrasting to the black colour body.
The XT variant is the mid-spec trim. It comes with features such as LED tail lamps, Electric ORVMs, ConnectNext infotainment system with Bluetooth connection, steering mounted audio controls and more. Other comfort features include Multi Drive Mode, Automatic Climate Control, Rear AC vents, Electric tailgate opening, Cooled Glove Box, and 12V Charging Slot.

Safety features on the Tata Nexon Kraz Edition will include Driver and Co-Driver airbags, ABS with EBD, Rear Parking Sensors, Engine Immobilizer, Follow-me-home headlamps and Seat belt with pre-tensioners & load limiters.
The Nexon comes with a 1.2 Litre Revotron Turbo Petrol and a 1.5 Litre Revotorq turbo diesel engine. The Petrol engine churns out 108 BHP of power and 170 Nm of torque. The diesel engine churns out around 108 BHP of power and 260 Nm of peak torque. The transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed Manual Transmission along with HyprDrive Self Shift Gears. Now, the Automatic transmission also comes in the lower XM trim.

Recently, Tata Nexon got a 4-star safety in the NCAP crash tests. For children, it got the 3-star safety. The XT petrol variant is priced at Rs 7.52 Lakhs and the diesel variant retails at Rs 8.40 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). So, the Tata Nexon Kraz Edition might be priced a bit Rs 10-15,000 more than the normal price.
