Nissan Kicks will get many segment first features to distinguish itself from Creta and Captur. The features include a 360-degree camera, smartwatch and more. The SUV is going to launch in India in early 2019.
Last week we reported that Nissan Kicks will get a 360-degree camera in its top variants. That’s not all. New reports say that Kicks will get many segment first features. The fresh ones on the list include a telematics Smartwatch, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard fitments and a semi-digital instrument cluster with GPS navigation on the cluster. These features take Kicks to another level and for the time being, ahead of Creta in terms of features. The launch is slated in early 2019. As per our sources, the media drives and promotional events will begin in December. Read more about the Kicks here.
The international spec Nissan Kicks gets a 360-degree camera technology, which will come with India-spec as well. The camera can be switched on every time and will offer the overview of the SUV. The cameras come in the front, rear and on either side mirrors.

The second highlight includes a telematic-enabled smartwatch. The Smartwatch pairs up with Nissan Connect App, which displays a host of information. It displays things like the speed of the car at a certain time, geo-fencing, vehicle’s location, tow-away alert, way to the car, vehicle battery level and more. The app now comes on all Nissan cars.
The last highlight includes a semi-digital instrument cluster. The best thing about that is you get GPS navigation and some other functions right beside the speedometer. Also, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay will be standard fitments across all the variants which offer a large touchscreen system.

Nissan Kicks India-spec shares its platform with Renault Captur but is a bit bigger than Captur. Kicks will come with a 1.5 Litre petrol engine that puts out 105 BHP and 142 Nm of peak torque. A diesel engine will also be on offer. The 1.5 Litre diesel engine puts out 110 BHP and 240 Nm of peak torque.
For transmission, Nissan Kicks will use a 5-speed manual and CVT gearbox in the petrol unit. The diesel might just come with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
