Bajaj Pulsar 220F is a semi-faired sports commuter, with a rather tall and sleek appearance. Also, 220F is soon going to get ABS setup, which was much desired. The bike is priced at Rs 94,682 (ex-showroom).
Much before Dominar 400, 220F was Bajaj Auto’s flagship product. Because of its semi-faired sportsbike type body, it was an instant hit among the younger generation. Till now, it is one of the preferable and affordable bikes, suited for stunting.
However, like typical other Pulsars, it does not offer many features. Highlights include projector headlamps, front and rear disc brake and LED tail lights. Soon, it will also sport ABS.
Bajaj Pulsar 220F still remains one of the gruntiest Pulsars, which delivers an excellent mileage figure. The average tops at around 45 kmpl.
Its only competitor includes the Karizma ZMR, which is another 220cc semi-faired sportsbike.

The new model Pulsar 220F sports minor visual upgrades including a new colour. It also gets a revised instrument console to enhance the novelty value. Powering the 2018 Bajaj Pulsar 220 is the same 220cc, single-cylinder engine.
This motor produces a max. power of 21.05 PS and a peak torque of 19.12Nm. Fuel mileage is in the range of 37 KMPL.

It may be noted Bajaj has always priced its bikes very competitively. Same has been the case with the entire Pulsar range. The 2018 model Bajaj Pulsar 220F continues this trend.

2018 Bajaj Pulsar 220F – Competition
Pulsar 220F is a pure sports bike. It faces direct competition from Hero Karizma ZMR. However, Karizma is also a very slow performer in the market.
It also faces competition because of its price range, because a lot of 200 CC bikes are naked bikes.
Overall, it competes with KTM RC and Duke 200, Hero Karizma ZMR TVS Apache RTR 2004V, Honda CBR 250R and Suzuki Gixxer SF.
However, if the buyer is focused on sports bike looks, and not the naked looks, he has to choose between Karizma, Pulsar and Gixxer SF.
