Ford Endeavour debuted in India somewhere around 2003 and since then it has been a popular choice for SUV lovers. The earlier one was rather long but still came with the rough and tough looks.

Now, the next-generation Endeavour is due in India soon. Ford India officially confirmed that by 2019, it will launch the facelifted version of Aspire, Figo, Endeavour and Mustang. Aspire facelift is out and most likely the next in line is Figo, followed by Endeavour.

The latest version of the Endeavour will get a new 2.0 Litre diesel engine, some cosmetic changes, and some extra features. The new engine will mostly come in the lowest variant.

Currently, it competes fiercely with the Toyota Fortuner and Volkswagen Tiguan. However, Fortuner lacks some features that Endeavour and Tiguan offer. We expect the prices to hike a bit, starting from Rs 27 Lakhs up to Rs 30 Lakhs.

Currently, Ford Endeavour is available in three variants starting from Rs 26.14 Lakh (ex-showroom). With a massive engine upgrade, it is expected to start from Rs 27 Lakh (ex-showroom).

The price difference would be not much, but the top end variant would cost more than the current top-end variant. Ford Endeavour’s top-end variant reaches Rs 29.46 Lakh (ex-showroom) which might increase by Rs 1 lakh.

Ford Everest gets the biggest upgrade in the guise of a new engine. Ford Everest will get a new 2.0 Litre TDCi Bi-Turbo Engine which produces 213 PS power and 500 Nm Torque.

The current Ford Everest is available with two diesel engines. One is the 2.2L TDCi that produces 150 PS power and 375 Nm torque. The other engine is the 3.2L TDCi five-cylinder diesel engine that develops 200 PS power and 470 Nm torque. Everest will now come with 4 diesel variants.

Another good feature is the Automatic Start-Stop system, which turns off the engine at traffic lights and can be turned on by pressing the clutch. Other features include push-button start and a 10-speed automatic gearbox.

The details of the interiors have not been leaked yet, but it will come with the high-end equipment.

The SUV is rumoured to get a single colour interior tone with leather upholstery.

Ford will offer the facelifted model with an audio system and the SYNC 3 infotainment system depending on the grade. The cabin space would not change mostly, but it would become more comfortable.

Other interior features include a start-stop button and an auto-stop button for driving comfort. It is also rumoured to come with a fully digital instrument cluster.
