The next-generation Maruti Ertiga is going to launch in India next week. Maruti Suzuki has today commenced its official bookings across its dealerships.
Maruti Suzuki has today commenced the official bookings of the all-new next-generation Ertiga. The new iteration of this MPV is going to launch in India next week on the 21st of November. Booking can be done at any Maruti Suzuki dealership at a token amount of INR 11,000.
In addition to commencing the bookings of the 2018 Ertiga, Maruti Suzuki has also revealed some important details regarding this MPV. For instance, the new iteration of the Ertiga is going to come with an all-new 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine. The diesel engine will remain the same as before. i.e. the 1.3-litre DDiS 200. As standard, a 5-speed manual transmission will be on offer. The petrol derivatives are also going to get a 4-speed torque converter automatic unit.

The 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine is the same engine which made its debut in India with the upgraded Ciaz in August. As standard, this engine comes with Suzuki’s mild-hybrid technology. This set-up uses a two battery layout. The diesel engine, just like before will also feature the SHVS technology. However, the later still comes with a single battery set-up only.
The next-generation Maruti Ertiga is based on the 5th generation HERTECT platform. This is the same underpinning on which the Baleno, Vitara Brezza, New Swift, New Dzire and the Ignis are based on. In addition to structural rigidity, the HEARTECT’s lightweight construction will also help in improving fuel-efficiency. Furthermore, it also helps in keeping the NVH level low.

In comparison to the current generation iteration of the Ertiga, the new one will get a considerable feature update. For instance, it is going to come with features such as projector headlamps, automatic climate control LED tail-lamps, Smartplay infotainment system among others.
The new Maruti Ertiga, when goes on sale on the 21st of November will be available in a total of four variants each for the petrol and diesel derivative. The petrol variant will get two additional automatic variants.

The Ertiga will be available in a total of five different colour options. These will include Autumn Red (New), Magma Grey, Oxford Blue, Arctic White and Silky Silver.
Prices for the next-generation Maruti Ertiga are expected to largely remain the same as before. We expect them to fall in-between the range of INR 7.5 lakh to INR 10.5 lakh.
