Bajaj Auto, in its future plans, plans to upgrade the Platina, Avenger and Pulsar series by next year. We can also see a couple of new bikes from the brand.
Bajaj Auto recorded profit for the 4th consecutive year. The major contributor for this includes commuter motorcycles like Bajaj Platina and CT 100 and sport segment bikes like Pulsar and Avenger series. Now, it plans to regain its share in the 125cc M3 segment. It also plans to launch new models and upgrade some old bikes which are above 150cc. Rajiv Bajaj specifically mentions that they plan to upgrade the Platina and Bajaj Pulsar Classic with new features and design.
Bajaj Platina is a plain 100cc bike that is one of the best sellers in its segment. It competes mainly with Hero Splendor, which is the best selling two-wheeler for this month. Another better-selling Bajaj bike in this segment includes the CT 100. The CT 100 is the cheapest bike in India.
So, there are chances of a 125cc Platina. It will look similar to the original Platina but with a more powerful engine. Currently, CT 100 is a better selling vehicle than the Platina. But now, Bajaj states that Platina is overtaking the CT 100 in terms of sales figures.

Earlier, we reported the Bajaj Auto plans to expand its 125cc range. Earlier, the two-wheeler maker came with Discover 125 and Vikrant V12 as 125cc bikes. However, both the bikes tanked in the market.
Another hit bike from Bajaj Auto includes the Pulsar series. Right from the early 2000s, Pulsar has never lost much in the market. Despite being conventional and equipped with lesser features, it is one of the most successful sporty-commuter motorcycles. Pulsar series might also see bits of upgrades and additions.
Bajaj has specifically mentioned about Bajaj Pulsar Classic and their plans to upgrade it. Despite being a cheaper model than the Twin Disc brake, the latter one has made better sales. So, it plans to upgrade the Pulsar Classic with new features and new design work.

We speculate the new launches in this department would include Pulsar RS and might be, Avenger 400. Both the bikes might use a 400cc engine, borrowed from Dominar 400. There are possibilities of Avenger 400 and Pulsar RS400. As of now, the most powerful bike in Bajaj’s lineup includes Dominar 400.
Lastly, the sales of Avenger have gone down for some months now. Bajaj Auto also has plans for the age-old Avenger series. Rakesh Sharma, Chief Commercial Officer, Bajaj Auto said to Moneycontrol that Avenger sales have slowed down. Some bit of product intervention is needed.

So expect a makeover to Bajaj’s lineup. If a more powerful Pulsar and Avenger are brought in, then it might attract more customers. Basically, those who are not fond of the Dominar but need a more powerful Bajaj bike. Platina with some new bikes might enter the 125cc segment.
