Fresh sets of camouflaged Bajaj Pulsar 220F ABS has come online. It is under heavy camouflage and we expect it to get new colour options and decals as well. The prices will still remain under Rs 1 Lakhs to maintain the competition.
Bajaj Auto has started testing ABS on its 150cc and above bikes. We have spotted Pulsar 150 and 220F on separate occasions with ABS setup. The white ABS ring on the disc brake has led to this conclusion.
Pulsar 150 was spotted with a dual-channel ABS setup, which is a bit shocking. So, there are chances of 220F also getting a dual-channel ABS. Along with this, it will also get BS-6 compliant engines and a few colour options and decal refreshments.
Before April 2019, all the bikes of 125cc engines or more should compulsorily have ABS. So, looks like Bajaj has started testing the variants and might launch this festive season.
While we have spotted the Bajaj Pulsar 220F ABS, we do not know that if it receives single or dual-channel ABS. Only the front disc brake is visible in this spy photo.
The 220F is priced at Rs 95,000. So, mostly a single-channel ABS would come equipped on the 220F. Bajaj is always known to keep its pricing aggressive. So we expect the ABS variant to charge us around Rs 7,000-8,000 more than the standard variant.

Let’s get to the explanation of ABS first.
Anti-lock Braking System helps in prevention of locking of tires while sudden braking. It prevents skidding of vehicles and also reduces stopping distances. Also, ABS helps to steer during emergency braking. This safety measure works on wet roads too. Most of the bikes are starting to get ABS variants, ahead of government’s ABS rule.
The Bajaj Pulsar 220F ABS will continue with the same engine and same features list.
The 220F gets a 220cc DTS-i engine. The engine produces 21 BHP of power and 19.1 Nm of torque. The 220F comes paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. The mileage estimated on the bike is around 30 kmpl.

The 220F gets telescopic fork suspensions in the front and twin-shock absorbers in the rear. The bike achieves a top speed of 131 kmph. The total weight of the bike is around 1500 kgs.
Features onboard the Pulsar 220F include New Decals, Always-on Headlamp, Clip-on Style Handlebar, LED Taillight, Auto cancelling indicators, Digital Speedometer, Split Seats, Split Grabrails with front and rear disc brakes.
The Pulsar 220F comes in 4 colour options, which are as follows:
- Chrome Black
- Laser Black
- Dyno Red
- Nuclear Blue

As such, the Pulsar 220F does not face any fierce competition in terms of engine displacement. However, with its aggressive pricing, it competes against Hero Karizma ZMR, Suzuki Gixxer SF and other bikes in that range.
