The first spy shots of Benelli TRK 502 Adventure bike testing in India have surfaced online. The dual purpose motorcycle is most likely to launch in mid-2019.
Benelli along with Hyderabad based Mahavir Group announced that it will launch a couple of premium motorcycles in India. The list consists of 12 bikes, which include ADV, street naked, cruiser and fully faired sportsbikes.
Amongst the early ones to launch, Benelli TRK 502 has been spotted testing in India for the first time. The test mule of the dual-purpose motorcycle was heavily camouflaged. Based on the looks, we can say that is very identical to the global-spec model.
Globally, there are two variants – TRK 502 and TRK 502X. The spotted one is most likely the more off-road focused variants, Benelli TRK 502X.

The test mule looks very similar to the other ADV bikes, offering a muscular and ready-to-take anything appeal. ADV bikes are very limited in India and similarly, the demand for one is also very miniscule.
Benelli TRK 502 X gets 19-inch spoke wheels at the front and 17-inch wheels at the back. For suspension, it uses a upside-down telescopic fork up front and adjustable mono-shock absorbers with a high travel at the back.
For braking purposes, it gets front and rear disc brakes paired with an adjustable dual-channel ABS setup. The ABS can be switched on and off as per need.

TRK 502X is friendly for short-riders because it gets a high placed handelbar with a lower seat height. However, the ground clearance is pretty good and same as the TRK 502.
It comes with a digi-analog instrument cluster, consisting of an analog tachometer. All the information related to the bike comes on the digital display, besides the tachometer. It will also get LED tail lamps, LED headlamps, a bigger fuel capacity of 20 Litres and a huge windscreen.
Benelli TRK 502 will be offered with a variety of add-on accessories like saddle stays, luggage panniers, storage compartment on either side of the pillion seat and more.
For engine purpose, the dual purpose bike uses a 499.6cc liquid cooled engine. The engine produces 46 BHP and 45 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
