Design
Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 looks like a proper retro cafe racer. If you compare the GT 535 with GT 650, you will notice that the 650 looks a bit subtle and more balanced. With minimalistic body panels, it somewhat fuses retro look with a bit modern touch.
Highlights like the round headlamps, twin-pod analogue cluster, chrome exhaust and of course the twin pea-shooter exhausts define its retro look. These highlights are also seen in Interceptor.
Also, GT 650 gets lowered clip-on handlebars, which puts the rider in a more dedicated riding position.
On the other hand, Interceptor is a Classic Roadster with upright handlebars and a more relaxed seating position. To be frank, Interceptor looks more retro than GT 650, reminding of the original Interceptor.

The differences between the Interceptor and GT 650 include a different set of handlebars, different riding position, the position of foot pegs and design of the fuel tank. Rest of the styling cues remain the same.
Engine
Royal Enfield 650 Twins use a 648cc parallel twin-cylinder air-cooled engine. The engine is capable of producing 47 BHP @ 7250 RPM and 52 Nm of torque @ 5250 RPM. This engine is currently the most powerful one globally. As per Royal Enfield, 80% of torque starts at 2500 RPM and then it follows a flat torque curve all the way up to 5250 RPM.
For transmission purposes, Twins use a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch. The gear shifting will thus be quick and light.
Mileage and Fuel Performance
The mileage claimed of the Twins is 25.5 kmpl. Interceptor 650 comes with a 13.7 Litre fuel tank and 0.75-litre reserve capacity. The riding range on INT 650 goes up to 360 kms.
Continental GT 650 gets a 12.5 Litre fuel tank with a reserve capacity of 1.5 Litres. It offers a riding range of up to 350 kms.
The duo manages a top-speed record of around 160 km/hr.
